Solaraze Gel treats pain and other symptoms of arthritis of the joints, such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain. 

Solaraze Gel is also used to treat actinic keratosis, a skin problem that may become cancerous if not treated.

Solaraze Gel is for use on the skin only. Apply enough medication to cover the affected skin as directed by your doctor, usually two times daily. Wash and dry your hands before and after applying the medication.

Use Solaraze Gel regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. It may take up to 30 days after finishing the medication for the skin to completely heal. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.

Before using Solaraze Gel, tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to it, aspirin or other NSAIDs; any other medications; or any of the ingredients in Solaraze Gel.
• You plan to take prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products.
• Apply sunscreen or cosmetics to the skin treated with Solaraze Gel.
• If you have or have ever had asthma, especially if you have frequent stuffed or runny nose or nasal polyps, heart failure, or kidney or liver disease,
• If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. 
• Plan to avoid exposure to real and artificial sunlight and wear protective clothing and sunglasses during your treatment with Solaraze Gel.

Solaraze Gel may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

• redness, itching, peeling or dry skin, irritation, swelling, or rash at the area where you applied the medication
• pain, burning, numbness, or tingling of the treated skin
• muscle, joint, or back pain
• headache

Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

• hives
• rash itching
• difficulty swallowing
• hoarseness
• unexplained weight gain
• shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• swelling in the abdomen, ankles, feet, or legs.

What if you missed the dose of Solaraze Gel?

If you miss a dose of Solaraze Gel, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule.

How to store the Solaraze Gel?

Store Solaraze Gel in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children.

What are the side effects of Solaraze Gel?

Rash, scaling, dry skin, swelling, or itching may occur at the application site.
