Condylox Solution is used to remove certain types of warts on the outside skin of the genital areas (penis or vulva). Condylox works by destroying the skin of the wart.

This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Read the patient information leaflet available from your pharmacist before using Condylox solution each time you get a refill. This medication is for use on the skin only. Only apply this medication to genital warts that your doctor has identified for you. 

Usually, Condylox solution uses twice daily, for three days in a row, followed by no treatment for the next four days. If warts do not go away, you may repeat this 7-day cycle up to four treatment weeks in a row. Follow your doctor's directions exactly.

First, wash the area to be treated with soap and water, and dry it thoroughly. Use an applicator with this product. Dip it into the solution just enough to wet it but not so much that the solution drips from the tip. Apply this medication only to warts your doctor has directed you to treat. Do not apply it to the area surrounding warts. 

Before taking Condylox Solution following needs to be considered: 

• Condylox Solution may not be able to prevent previously healed warts from reappearing or stop new warts from growing.
• This medicine contains alcohol and, therefore, may be flammable. Do not use near heat, near open flame, or while smoking.
• Do not have sexual intercourse on the days you have applied this medication.
• Genital warts are spread by sexual contact. Condoms (such as latex or polyurethane types) may help prevent the spread of genital warts to your partner. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

The common side effects of Condylox Solution include:

• Bad odor
• bleeding of treated skin
• blistering, crusting, or scabbing of treated skin
• bloody urine
• burning feeling of treated skin
• dizziness
• pain during sexual intercourse
• problems with the foreskin of the penis
• scarring of treated skin
• vomiting 

Symptoms of overdose

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• chills
• fever
• sore throat
• unusual bleeding or bruising
• oral ulcers

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may disappear during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your healthcare professional can tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

Where should you use Condylox Solution?

Condylox Solution is used on anal and genital warts that are external. 

How quickly does Condylox Solution work?

It usually takes a week or longer before noticing a difference from Condylox Solution. The wart may turn white or become smaller. 

What are the possible side effects of Condylox Topical?

Redness, itching, burning, and pain may occur in the treated area. If any of these effects persist or worsen, or you have bleeding, severe swelling, or severe pain, wash the medication off with soap and water.
