Cleocin T Gel is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of acne vulgaris and bacterial vaginosis. Cleocin T gel may be used alone or with other medications.
Observe all usage instructions on the product's packaging or follow your doctor's instructions. Only apply Cleocin T Gel on the skin. First, wash and dry the affected area. Usually, twice daily or as your doctor recommends, apply a thin layer of the drug. Use enough to cover the affected area completely. After using, wash your hands. Avoid touching any broken skin, your mouth, nose, or eyes. If you unintentionally get medicine in these places, thoroughly rinse with lots of cool water.
Your condition may improve for 2 to 6 weeks, and the real benefit may not become apparent for another 12 weeks.

Cleocin T Gel Side Effects may occur, including:
Burning, itching, dryness, redness, oily skin, or peeling may occur. Tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly if any of these effects last or get worse.
Cleocin T Gel may be absorbed into your bloodstream and rarely cause a severe intestinal condition due to a bacteria called C. difficile. This condition may occur for weeks to months after treatment has stopped. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop: diarrhea that doesn't stop, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, or blood/mucus in your stool. If you have these symptoms, do not use anti-diarrhea or opioid products because they may worsen symptoms.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help immediately if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.

What should you do if you forget a dose of Cleocin T Gel?
Apply the missed dose of Cleocin T Gel as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.
